Healthcare Interoperability
Clinical data sits in EHRs, labs, payer systems, HIEs and legacy databases, and each one uses its own format. We build the integrations that connect them, turning messy, incompatible data into clean, standards-based information that providers, payers and patients can actually use.
We work with the standards healthcare runs on, including HL7 v2, FHIR R4, C-CDA and X12, and we know where they break down in practice. We combine that knowledge with modern cloud tools to build integrations that are reliable, secure and ready for audit.
What we do:
- HL7 v2 interfaces for ADT, ORM/ORU, SIU, DFT and other message types, including parsing, validation, acknowledgment handling and routing between systems
- FHIR APIs and servers built on platforms like Aidbox, HAPI FHIR and AWS HealthLake, with RESTful resources, bulk data export and subscription-based notifications
- SMART on FHIR and secure access with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect authorization (for example, Keycloak or Amazon Cognito), scoped access, and custom authorizers for patient and provider apps
- Format conversions between HL7 v2, C-CDA, CSV, flat files and FHIR, with terminology mapping to code systems like LOINC, SNOMED CT, ICD-10 and RxNorm
- Clinical data lakes that bring records from multiple sources together on AWS for analytics, reporting and population health, with de-duplication and patient matching
- Regulatory readiness for CMS interoperability requirements such as Patient Access, Provider Directory and Payer-to-Payer APIs, aligned with USCDI data classes and US Core profiles
- HIPAA-conscious design with encryption, audit logging, least-privilege access and PHI handling built into every pipeline
The result: clinical data that arrives on time, in the right format and with a full audit trail, so your teams can spend less time chasing records and more time on patient care.
